I’ve been diabetic for over 35 years. I went with the Tandem device since it connects to the Dexcom G6 (I won’t talk about my adhesive issues here). When the system works (like right now) it works great. However I am never sure if the infusion site is going to work.

And the last thing is that we added a new adhesive to keep the infusion set on the body for up to seven days. So basically three things. New connector, new tubing, containing preservatives and a new adhesive.
Webb18 aug. 2024 · Omnipod 5 compared to Tandem: OP5 has only a modest hardware advantage. Despite having tubing, the Tandem pump is compact and quite easy to program. And both use the Dexcom G6 as the CGM data source. Tandem’s algorithm is relatively simple, and it works as intended from the moment the feature is activated. WebbI always have issues with infusion sets for tandem. Omnipod has no issues (only other pump I’ve ever tried). The “best solution “ I’ve found so far is the give 3 units with my old site, 3 units on new site and remove the cannula of the old site the next morning. Otherwise it always goes to 15-17.

That is the set I used first when I got my Tandem two years ago - still have a couple of sets on the top shelf.
